Postering Against Harris
During and after the Days of Action, activists with organizations like Anti-Racist Action (A.R.A.) and the Ontario Coalition Against Poverty (O.C.A.P.) organized local demonstrations and rallies to protest against austerity. They also helped to build coalitions that understood the wider consequences of the "Common Sense Revolution" and worked to connect the Harris agenda to ongoing problems of colonization, police violence, gentrification, fascism, anti-choice attacks and the oppression of migrants.
The posters in this exhibit page publicized rallies, benefit concerts, panels and vigils between 1995 and 2000, and show the relentless ground work that fuelled the Days of Action in Toronto. If you have materials by these or other organizations, please help us to expand the collection by adding them to the archive.
