35 year old Edmond Yu was shot and killed by police officer Louis Pasquino on a street car near Spadina and Queen's Quay. Yu had a history of mental illness and police claimed he was brandishing a small hammer. No police were charged or disciplined for the killing of Edmond Yu. [text by SV]

"In 1982, Mumia Abu-Jamal was framed for the murder of a cop in Philadelphia and sentenced to die. In 1995, a powerful worldwide campaign saved Mumia's life. Now we are awaiting a court decisions by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, whether or no to grant a new trial.
