Context
This was the first vinyl release from FANS OF BAD PRODUCTIONS. After two well received cassette compilations featuring Toronto punk bands, this EP showcases 4 bands that appeared on the earlier compilations. Members of the bands represented here all had ties to OCA at the time.
500 copies on red vinyl were pressed through Music Industry Services Corp. Records were pressed in Nashville in 1991. Master dub by Mark Hesselink (Trackworks) PMT's by Stephen Perry (Excalibur).
Growing up in Windsor I was exposed to a lot of TV/Radio content from Detroit. The Hot Fudge Show was a children's show aired from Detroit...much like the Banana Splits Show...which is featured on the front cover of this record...hence the title.
Attached is an unfolded image of the cover. To assemble the covers for it's finished state, the bottom 1 1/2" are folded to create a little groove or pocket for the vinyl to "sit", and then folded in half to create the final size of 7" X 7".
Attached is an ad that was placed in Maximum Rock And Roll Magazine and Flipside Magazine for a few months after the release of the record.
